AUSTRIA
Austria translates to "Kingdom of the East", which is was, during the Hapsburg Empire. At that time, over 60 million people claimed residency to this mountain-filled locale. Today, that number has dropped to just over 8 million. However, it remains as one of the 10 richest countries in the world.
One thing I love about Austria and the Bavarian region of Germany, is the greeting "Gruss Gott", meaning "God's Blessing". It is said in place of one's 'hello' and it is customary to greet those you pass by, are seated next to in a restaurant or interact with. Looking at the towering alps, breathing in clean air, or just enjoying the day, one can't help but see "God's blessing" in every thing and around every corner.
