Finland is known as "the Daughter of the Baltic", as it is one of the most beautiful cities in Scandinavia. The air is pure, the people are warm-hearted with a great sense of humor, the architecture is breath-taking and it is just a wonderful place to be.

Finland declared its independence from the Soviet Union during the Russian Revolution in 1917. It was a favored summer retreat for the Russian ruler, Nicholas Romanov and his family. And is the only country who has fully paid back its war loans to the United States and to the Soviet Union.
