When you come to Germany from the US, you soon realize how old everything is...a church was built in the 15th century, the house down the street was built in 1788, etc.  Then you visit Italy.  And you soon realize how old things are in Italy.  Churches built in the 11th century, the house down the street was built in 1454.  Crazy stuff.  And the Italians...ALL ITALIANS are jaw-droppingly beautiful.  Men, women, children.....stunning.  I hang on their every word..not caring if they are telling me off or not...it sounds like music to my ears. Romance is in the air here...regardless of the city you visit.  You can't help but walk along the winding narrow streets, breathing in the beauty that surrounds you, longing to hold the hand of the one you love.
